facebook3 Facebook gets a Whale for ‘push in’ to Mobiles Looks like Facebook gets another application to add to its armory and this time its from the Blue Whale Systems Ltd has launched the BlueWhaleMail application for Facebook that enables Facebook users to get their BlueWhaleMail on their phones (click here to download). Once installed the users will be able to get updates on friends’ status, wall posts etc (as reported).

The application provides users to also send messages, pokes etc. The users get notified the moment updates arrive on their Facebook accounts and there is no need for them to browse through the site in order to check the updates out.

Richard Seward, founder and CEO remarked:

We’re trying to make social networking as much a part of mobile life as Text Messaging. With its unique combination of email and Facebook our service is the simplest choice for those wishing to stay on top of their social life while they’re away from their computer". The service is free and funded by a small, unobtrusive banner ad in the display of incoming items.

Presently the application is only available for the Nokia Series 60 and Sony Ericsson phones and more hardware would be added to the list in due time as BlueWhaleMail broadens its scope and expands to a larger market of ‘not so hi-fi’ mobile phones.
