You are bound to have a lot of self belief when your college project turns out to be the largest social network and revolutionizes how people connect. Similar is the case with Chris Hughes, co-founder of Facebook who is heading out to begin his own startup. Chris’ startup is a non-profit and would connect those people and organizations who plan to change the world.
The startup is called Jumo and we have no clue as to what it is about other than the name the brief description Chris has provided on the site. At first I thought it was something very similar to Facebook but that isn’t really the case. Since it is based on invites, I had to answer a few questions which give me a fair bit of an idea on how it might work and what purpose it is there for. From what I see is simply that people would find it easier to share thoughts and connect with those who share similar interest around the world. I completely agree with the description on the site that says there are no magical solution to problems and many people have absolutely no clue how they can make a difference.
I am not sure if this actually makes any difference and reaches out to be any successful. But I really appreciate that Chris wasn’t bogged down with the success of Facebook and thought about giving another a chance.
