Montenegro has officially banned the access of popular video sharing and social networking site like YouTube and Facebook in the government institutions. From today onwards, employees in state run offices will be greeted with an access denied message if they try to sign in to their Facebook accounts during the working hours. According to the office responsible for maintaining government’s network, this step is taken in order to avoid the system meltdown due to excess traffic. In an statement the government office said:
Therefore, during working hours, access to certain potentially malicious and huge traffic generating websites is disabled.
