We all know that the social Facebook is more than just serious about making the Web social, something which Mark Zuckerberg himself emphasized on at the f8 when he said the Default is Social. The features are already out there with Web wide like button and knitting the third party sites closer to Facebook. But go over to the page here and customize the Like Button for yours site, the colors especially.

Facebook thinks that there is going to be a need for people to actually use the word Evil when it comes to associating an expression to a site or page online. You can chose from three colors: Light, Dark, Evil. While Light and Dark are justified why would it use Evil?

You can plug in your own descriptions and guesses associated to it but the social network must have something really meaningful behind this. Just give it a thought, a platform that plans to make Social the default on web, why would it put up such a thing that serves no purpose?

However, I was just testing it out and found that the color is exactly the same as the one for Light, which makes it sound pretty stupid to roll such an option out. Was my friend correct when he stated that the Facebook is confusing? Or is it just a way to counter Google when it says: Don’t Be Evil?
