The best thing about commencement addresses from CEOs of very successful companies is that they offer a lot to learn from the years they have spent watching the world change. Google CEO, Eric Schmidt’s commencement address at the 112th commencement ceremony of the Carnegie Mellon highlighted the same changes over decades and how communication has changed during this time. Going back thirty or twenty years is pretty far off, the boom that has come in the last decade has had a massive impact, transforming everything, from making friends to sharing opinions, photos, etc. What’s more interesting about the address is that Schmidt doesn’t beat the bush by uttering Google time and again and mentioning other big players in the game, like Twitter and Facebook and how each has played a very vital part.
