Decho, a new company by EMC Corporation, steps in to offer protection and management for your digital data. EMC Corp. had acquired Mozy and PI Corporation, and merged these two companies to form Echo. Along with the new features, Echo will continue to offer features provided by Mozy and PI Corp. Though it’s not clear what the company will be looking to offer, but rich metadata and contextual information will be part of it. Also, it will offer what Mozy didn’t – the company will be focused on managing, organizing and searching files, rather than simply backing them up.
