EffectiveUI, a Denver Colo.-based interactive agency, and Intelligence Gaming are launching 360-degree video technology, providing gamers with a new experience with the video environment. It’s a new version of virtual reality that allows you to look at your environment via a computer display, or by wearing a display that goes over your eyes, for a greater feel.
These interactive videos allow you to feel as if you’re in the middle of it all, thereby you can interact and change the proceedings as well. The video technology uses Adobe’s Flash Technology version 10, which consists of a binaural audio feature, one that lets you listen to sounds and detect the physical position of the sound, such as footsteps.
Intelligence Gaming will use this technology to manufacture realistic military simulations, handy for the Army to train soldiers for self defense and combat situations. The video above is the first episode of the simulation that the company has come up with.
EffectiveUI’s president, Anthony Franco said that the experience is far more realistic than the previous technologies. EffectiveUI’s technology is called RealityV and Intelligence Gaming’s product is called Immersive Cultural Simulation which both the companies will unveil at the upcoming Adobe MAX conference in San Francisco, Nov 16-19.
