eBay’s $1 Holiday Doorbusters appears to have been hacked. The results? Items that it hasn’t even listed for public appear to have been auctioned. Surprisingly enough the number of visitors to each of these items is zero. Is eBay auction system so prone to programmers in the wild that they can manipulate it to cloud contests? There hasn’t been much  to say from the people at eBay, but they did pull off the visitor counter to suppress the unrest amongst its users.
