EA was supposed to layoff around 500 of its employees earlier, however the game publisher has changed its mind and doubles the number to 1,000. The layoffs will take place in March next year along with a closure of 9 of its studios. It has confirmed the closure of its Black Box studio in Vancouver, Canada and its team would move over to Burnaby, British Columbia. The company hasn’t been doing well enough and the holidays haven’t brought good news either, let’s see if these cuts and closures bring something good.
