DUMPR neat effects to photos but not worth the use

Sardar Mohkim Khan

DUMPR If you find it fun to apply unique filters to your photos, even if you aren’t a Photoshop expert, then Dumpr is what you are looking for. Dumpr is an easy-to-use web-based tool containing an array of interesting effects like sketch, Lomo, reflection and jigsaw puzzle. Not only can you upload photos from your own hard drive, you can also paste URLs from major photo-hosting services like Flickr and My Space.

The initial account allows very limited access to the large database it has, however you can upgrade to a premium account that offers the first month free and then $3.99 for each month.

Inspite of its apparently contradictory name, Dumpr is quite a useful tool for editing photos what beginners would take ages learning to do with Photoshop. It, moreover, has some Flickr-specific features which allow you to search for pictures similar to your favourites and to rate photos on Flickr.Sardar Mohkim Khan after using DUMPR

By the time I finished reviewing this I came up to the conclusion that such a site, despite is colors, simplicity and all the ‘fun’ it has to offer, seems to be on the dumber side. The effects turned out to be pretty un-effective and something that is fit for kids alone, by the way I would suggest that they should put up a warning that reads

‘Site only for those aged 13 and below adults keep out’

And another thing worth a mention here is that the site made its start on June 13, so I guess it pretty much gives them a reason to stick to the same age bracket.

And here is the ‘ah so great effect

P.S I am not into self publicity, believe me :p
