Scott Schwanbeck, a 12 year online media veteran of Online Media Industry would be moving to Drop.io, a Brooklyn-based storage startup as VP for business development, to try and set up strategic direction and operational goals at the company that raised $2.7 million in first round of funding in March from DFJ Gotham and RRE Ventures.

Sam Lessin, CEO of drop.io, said, “Drop.io is building a new vocabulary for simple private sharing on the web, and Scott’s deep expertise and leadership will be instrumental in the development of key relationships and in distributing our solution within specific verticals.”

Prior to Drop.io, Schwanbeck was Vice President of Business Development, at Fox Interactive Media overseeing business and corporate development activities including; strategic partnerships, non-ad based monetization, content and data licensing, audience development and international expansion.
