DotNetNuke, an open source web app framework written in VB.NET has raised an undisclosed sum in Series A funding. The round that according to Shaun Walker took more than a year was chaired by August Capital and Sierra Ventures. DNN provides users a platform to create and manage web intranet and extranet sites boasts having more that 600,000 registered users and its framework being used more than five and a half million times so far.
