Kadoo launched a new uber social network recently, to add to the list of DEMOfall 08 service launches and show-casings. Kadoos aggregates all types of data and files, allowing the user with control over whom to share them with. The service is pretty much social as well, as the usual works on the normal networks are also included here. Sounds nice yeah?
Kadoo, originally created by founders of Blackboard Inc., offers 10 gigs of free storage as well! That’s 10 gigabytes, pretty smooth for a new start. It consists of features such as: storing digital data, contact, photos, files, videos, bookmarks, privacy controls, and blogs, allowing users a smarter place to manage and share.
Based in Washington, DC and Florida, Kadoo’s team includes a variety of experienced personnel from other companies as Oracle, Thomson, Siemens and Exodus, etc. With a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky, Christopher Etesse is the CEO & President of Kadoo.
Users are allowed to share information with other people who aren’t even members of Kadoo, using a feature called “selective sharing”. This service is integrated with another for university and high school environments called Blackboard.
