Bellevue, Washington based Intelius came out with its iSearch web-service recently. With this service you won’t need a private investigator again, as its People Search function allows you to dig up some sensitive information on just about everyone. It’s free till the searching limit, and then if you want to dig deeper, there’s two categories of fee included.
You might as well say goodbye to privacy, as the web service provides a way to find from an email to a criminal record of just about anyone (fee included). The co-founder & executive vice president of Intelius, John Arnold says that the company is trying to respect social norms on privacy. They’re only digging through publicly available data.
The iSearch features works simply as you typing in the name of whoever you want to know about. It then searches public records to present you with the details. This kind of a powerful search can be used for good as well as evil. A stalker could use it to get a target’s exact address. Whereas someone could use it to check their babysitters’ credentials, and check whether they have a criminal background.
The company was founded in 2003 as broker of IT. It has used revenues from the paid users to come up with the new search engine, and yet with 170 employees has not raised any venture money.
For $4.95, the company allows to provide an address, whereas for a criminal background, it charges $49.95. Its uses can vary from finding bankruptcy information, cell phone numbers, and CallerID data, to criminal background.
People who’re worried about this and want to protect their privacy can have their data deleted. But Arnold says it would be pointless if your data is already in public records. The company though, will commonly delete sensitive data, such as addresses of police officers or photos of government agents, as it usually does get requests as such.
The service’s competition includes all of the search engines out there, as well as paid investigative services. Though search engines don’t stand a chance, as they provide hundreds of thousands of results and pin-pointing down to a single person can be next to impossible.

I believed it was going to be some boring outdated post, however it genuinely compensated for my time. I’ll submit a website link to this web page on my blog. I am sure my site visitors will come across that quite useful.
