At DEMOfall, San Diego, BeeTV provided a reason to put away your TV guide and switch to their ‘personal content channel’. The service works as such by drawing in content from broadcast and subscription TV, as well as Pay-per-view and from users’ own DVRs. The company claims that the service is designed to learn from users’ behaviors and tastes.

The platform of the company is essentially a personal TV suggestion engine. The idea behind it is to make things easier for people and letting them find the kind of TV content they’re really looking for. This removes the tedious task for the user to choose from random movies, shows or games, etc.

BeeTV_LogoThe service ‘learns’ what you enjoy, by selecting some criteria of things you want to watch. It then begins to offer you more of what you like. It’s quite similar to Netflix’s recommendation engine, except that it’s personal and local.

The company states that the service, being based on algorithms, analyzes to extents of the depths of ‘DNA’ of the content; thus, delivering to the user with (a large selection) suggestions that the user can consider and watch (things to watch).

The service is white labeled, which means that the TV operators can offer their customers the content without their even knowing who’s behind it. Sign-up and enjoy the experience.
