Demandbase, a company focused at transforming the traditional functioning of B2B companies to target customers and powers lead generation solutions that bring out the potential of online advertising, search and Social networks has raised $8 million worth of funding as reported by Anthony Ha.

The round was led by Sigma Partners, Adobe Systems and Altos Ventures. And that’s not the only news, the service has also released ‘Demandbase Central’ a platform that integrates data from across the web and the databases; which will eventually be used to power the company’s various online services.

According to CEO, Chris Golec, the company is amalgamating two different businesses. The company uses a different mode of minting money with the aid of the Stream app that provides visitor data on the site for free. Once the visitor plans at contacting someone in a relevant company, Demandbase puts up its charges per contact instead of the conventional amount one has to pay for the entire list. This makes the entire system have company names scroll at a swift pace across the desktop.
