DataCastle, a Seattle based PC Data Protection startup, has raised $5.3 million in first round of funding led by CM Capital Investments. As part of the deal DataCastle will be hiring a new CEO, whose task would be to market the company and make it a competitive name in PC data protection market. DataCastle provides online backup, encryption and compression to reduce the amount of space required to store files. In case your laptop gets stolen you wont have to worry about your data as long as you are on some of the plans offered by the company.
