CrossLoop raised $6 Million to Expand its P2P Tech Support Desktop Application

crosslope logo A consumer Internet company, CrossLoop that produce free and easy to use software application for desktop sharing has raised $6 million in Series B funding. The round was led by a premier venture capital firm, Venrock with EI Dorado Venture also joining the round. 

The company has also hired a new blood to enhance its productivity. Richard Moran, partner at Venrock along with Andre Haddad, CEO of Shopping.com have joined CrossLoop Board.

The funding will be used by CrossLoop to enhance its P2P tech support service by advance product development and expansion. It will also use the money for sales and marketing.

Lisa Alderson, president and CEO, CrossLoop, Inc. said that the company has got quiet a good response in a short span of time and the funding and new hiring will help the company to enhance their productivity.

CrossLoop is a nifty tech support tool that allows user to fix technical issues remotely. The app is designed to help IT consultants and professionals in their daily work. You can patch up any technical problem by sitting thousands of miles away from the infected computer. The whole idea is to shrink distances between the territories and between technical and non-technical persons.

The service is available in 21 languages with 11,800 registered users and has helped 1 million businesses and individuals in over 150 countries for technical support, training and collaboration.

Apart from Businesses, the service can be used by people who are not affiliated with the IT profession. Even a university student can use this marvel app to fix his/her mother’s PC without leaving the hostel. CrossLoop charges $55 for an hour with a 25 minutes session.

The company has previously raised $3 million in Series A funding led by EI Dorado.
