We use a lot of services, from accounts at Twitter and places like last.fm to listen to your favorite music. There is a need, an urge you feel to use them but the problem is that there is something no present in the scene; something that does all the hard work of compiling a list of all the latest activity. There are services that provide you with widgets/badges for each but then do you really want to have more of these items that what you have in your blog for people to see?
Escaloop is you answer; it enables you to generate a list of up to 20 RSS feeds. These may include your latest bookmarks, recent activity, new blog posts etc to highlight a few updates you need to keep yourself tuned with. Escaloop simply and very neatly arranges them in a list form.
The service is designed to work with various RSS or atom feeds; there is no need for registering, simply choose the ‘badge builder’ and then select whether you want to modify you’re your existing badge or create a new one. You have to enter manually the URLs that you need to keep track of. You can then select who you need your badge to display your content; though the ‘style’ option is only set to default (perhaps waiting for some input from users).
Once the work is done, you are displayed with two codes. The first one is used is the ID that is assigned to you, for later editing your lifestream, this is exactly what relieves you of the tiring process of registration that is so utterly useless for such services. The second code is the one that is for placing the lifestream on your web-page. You can also preview what exactly the stream looks like before you finally add it.
Escaloop has everything simple to offer to the users who want to keep themselves updated with all the happenings. And neat is always welcome specially when the news is coming in torrential floods!
