Condé Nast has decided to pull down shutters on Product Fiend, Elastic Waist and Daily Bedpost. The decision comes as the blogs failed to fulfill the purpose they had been created for; to pull more traffic to its major sites and given the present economic crisis, they proved to be a burden on expenses. I guess the sites have failed to live up to the expectations as they barely generated enough traffic to make a difference to Condé Nast’s initial user-base. At last after three years of experimenting, it realized it was good for nothing.
