comScore Inc., a leader in measuring the digital world released its monthly comScore qSearch analysis of the US search market. As expected, the Search tycoon ranked first and experienced a continuous increase in its market share. The Goggle sites led the U.S core search market in July with 63 percent while the Yahoo! And Microsoft sites ranked second and third with 19.6 percent and 8.3 percent respectively, followed by Ask Network (4.8 percent) and AOL LLC (4.3 percent).
The report reveals that Americans conducted 11.7 billion core searches while the Goggle alone was used by 7.4 billion search queries. This increase the core search market share of Goggle by 1.1 percentage. Yahoo! sites takes the second spot as it handled 2.3 billion while Microsoft sites were ranked third with 977 million searches.
On summing up the whole stats, comScore August 2008 analysis shows that the Goggle sites topped with 10.2 billion searches I-e a 2% increases as compare to July, followed by Yahoo! sites (2.4 billion), Microsoft Sites (1 billion), and AOL LLC (839 million).
