Election Day must have brought massive success to Obama but it also pulled in huge traffic for CNN.com. Previously averaged at 5 million daily unique visitors, the site attracted 27 million visitors on election day. This of course got them a record page views as well, exceeding the previous 35 million by almost 9 times to hit 276 million. The servers must have been busy munching such a burst, one they aren’t accustomed to.
