CLhack, a Craigslist mashup that allowed users to browse through Craigslist visually is now banned on Craigslist. This makes their honeymoon period last for only 24 hours or so. The service was first discovered by TechCrunch and was later covered by Lifehacker. Unfortunately this was too much of a publicity for Craigslist to digest.

The folks at CLhack are still hopeful that the ban would be temporary and would get lifted, but if what happened to Craigs Little Buddy is any clue, we know that this would be wishful thinking.

The service used to put up a tabbed, picture based interface on a free classifieds ad page, offering users a visual interface to the text based web 1.0 version of Craigslist. RIP CLhack !!!
