The reason for this acquisition is obvious; generating more traffic and have its hands at more tools to offer publishers.

The price for the acquisition is still undisclosed, but whatever the price tag be the deal will definitely turnout big for Clearspring. With the massive number of surfers using AddThis, Clearspring eyes the prospect of converting those hits to valued revenue. Wit 20 billion views a month and over 200 million unique visitors, AddThis offers Clearspring a promising boost to its limited $10 million annual sales.
