Months after its launch, Chrome may not be threatening the giants in Browser business but it’s definitely being watch given its rise to the present position. Its share in the browser market is a mere 0.74% a fraction short of Opera’s 0.75%. I am not concerned with what its share is in the browser market for I still stick to my opinion that Chrome hasn’t been designed to be a browser alone, the purpose it to turn it into a host for the countless cloud applications Google will eventually offer, making computing cheaper. The other reason that slows is growth is that users find it difficult to switch browsers and I myself, despite being a Google addict barely use chrome for browsing. But as always, my words always be; Chrome has got the potential to outrun many in times to come.
