Chinese farmer has built a robot army

Shoaib Hashmi

Wu Yulu on Wu No.25

A Chinese farmer Wu Yulu has built a robot army of 26. The 46 years old has built them over the past 30 years and considers them as his son. He has named them after his surname such as  Wu No.1, Wu No.2,…, Wu No.3. These robots are capable of climbing walls, serving water, lightning cigarettes, playing musical instruments and writing calligraphy. His favorite one is Wu No.25 who is capable of pulling his master on a rickshaw.

Wu used to spent two third of his monthly income on his passion and due to this his family was forced into debts. Now he is willing to sell some of his robots in order to overcome the debts. The interesting thing about Wu is that he only has a basic school education and yet he build robots from scrap stuff.

According to Wu, it all started:

When I was 11, one day I was sitting on the doorstep, and while watching villagers passing by I suddenly came up with the idea of building a machine that walks like a man.
