China announced licensing 3G network services on a TD-SCMA standard, it was learnt. This came as China plans to up the future of high-speed mobile Internet in the country – though the government is yet to release which network providers will be allowed licenses. The Chinese government has a strict policy regarding cellular communication services and allows only native companies to operate. This’s good in a way as it protects the native companies from being undermined by international sales.
