At times when global connectivity is becoming a necessity, Cherple comes connecting the world of Internet users with those using the wireless. The service would connect the two through its instant message to SMS platform. The service is presently web based and requires no registration, plus the team says they will be launching a desktop version. The desktop version can come in handy as it will be easier to use, though I wish it has auto sync features to import contacts from the cell phones.

I just used Cherple to send text from France to San Francisco on my sisters cellphone. It was fast, free and easy. No download either, I was at an internet cafe so that was perfect. Thanks Cherple:)
