TechCrunch is reporting that today’s layoffs at CBS would also be affecting Last.fm, a music recommendation startup, that CBS bought for $280 million in 2007. Out of the total 95 employees, Last.fm would no longer have atleast 40 people. The layoffs would hit Last.fm’s London HQ. The company is however contesting that the numbers are skewed towards the higher side, but wont give exact numbers.
