After acquiring CNET, CBS plans to merge CBS News and CNET newsroom. The two weren’t much different hence there was no point in vesting resources in maintaining the two separately. Apart from that, reports are that CBS News will also be cutting down its staff by 30%, but it isn’t yet confirmed.
