While add-ons or plug-ins can give your browser additional functionality but at times one would feel the urge to make it more lively by adding backgrounds, etc. Canvas, a Firefox add-on that lets you add any image to your browser theme lets you do exactly that. Whether it’s an image in your hard drive or one from a web page just point, select and add it to your Canvas. Here’s how you can do that once you have downloaded the add-on:
From Computer:
-
Hit Manage in the Canvas toolbar.
-
Click Add button
-
Browse to the location of the image on your system and select the image for the Canvas.
From the Web:
-
Right click on any image on the Web.
-
Select Add Image to Canvas.
Whatever images you select, either from your system or the web can be accessed via the Manage button. From there you can modify images/background of your browser, rename or delete them from the list.
The tool is pretty handy however it sets Yahoo Search as your default search engine so if you are installing this be sure that you know of this.
