Technorati, a popular source for blogs to find out their authority (ranking) – finds itself head-to-head with Google Blog Search. It is reported that Technorati received 2.5 million unique visitors last month, while Google Blog Search received 1 million. While speaking to a blog, Richard Jalichandra CEO of blog search engine Technorati stated:
It doesn’t matter what Internet business you’re in.
You’re either going to have direct or indirect competition with Google and that’s just the way it is…[Google is] not the 800 pound gorilla, it’s the 80,000 pound gorilla.
While that’s not the only problem for Jalichandra, often there are problems with Technorati’s rating being a little off scale.
