When you go overdrive at outgrowing your competitors you often tend to unsettle those whom you have built yourself upon and the case is similar with Facebook. Eric Eldon reports of a rumor saying that the latest ‘out’ in Facebook is Jeff Hammerbacher and Facebook has confirmed the final notice issued by Jeff.
Being a Harvard acquaintance of Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg; Jeff was recruited from his job as an analyst in Bear Sterns in Wall Street and had been the core builder of Facebook’s data team, building it up from ground zero. The job of his team is to continually monitor the behavior of users that is used for finding change in traffic patterns and various other information; associated to the making of new product that eventually effects the business decision. Not only that, Jeff with his team has built the company’s software web with two open source software projects for the public.
The reasons for recent departures can be personal or perhaps the recent hiring of top Google employees who have had quite a tough job at teaming up with the highly technical team of Facebook; of course we mean that those newly recruited aren’t the geeky tech guys. So is this due to the reason Jeff has grown tired? We Doubt that as well; given the rapid expansion of Facebook in every direction, things appear quite adventurous for the likes of Jeff to grow as well.
No matter what assumptions we make, things will remain under dirt until a word comes out of Jeff’s mouth.
