Looks like people Blu-Ray players will finally find way into more homes as retailers decide to cut down prices. The prices may come down the $200 barrier and its sales will be on fire, given users had problems with its $399 price tag. David Bishop, President Sony Pictures Home Entertainment said:
Some stores were sold out by 9:30 a.m. (on Black Friday). Clearly, it is a top gift item. There will be more price-point-oriented promotions throughout December and that momentum will continue
The total units sold exceeded 300,000 in the first week and that speaks volumes that how eagerly people waited to buy this as prices became reasonable.
