BlogTalkRadio, a live radio network ended its Series A round of financing at $4.6 million. The round was led by Scott Sipprelle and the Kaft Group. The site that had been launched two years back eases up self-broadcasting by giving each of the users individual stations; where users can have a show of their own.
With over 100,000 shows since its launch, BlogTalkRadio also offers solutions to enterprise; which lets a company create its own radio station that can either be hosted at BlogTalkRadio or integrated into their own website.
At present BlogTalkRadio has shown keen interest at branding opportunities arising from having radio stations that allow direct communication amongst the brands and consumers alike. And this is exactly what the company plans to spend its fresh funding at; content distribution and development of a platform for ad sales, making BlogTalkRadio even more successful amongst its users.
