BlogRush, the blog link swapping service that was launched in late 2007, is going offline. This was announced by the founder John Reese. The service used to provide links through a widget that was present on the participating blogs. The service became popular during its very first year as it provided 3.4 billion blog post headlines. BlogRush widgets can be found on a number of websites. In a blog post on the homepage of the site, John said:
After careful consideration, we have decided to shutdown the BlogRush service. If you have the widget code on your blog you will need to remove it.
