Our comments and trackback policy You Link We Follow, You Comment We Promote
Blogflux, a company that wants to become one stop shop for bloggers, has acquired Commentful.
Commentful is a service that lets you track comments on Digg stories, Youtube videos, blog entries, MySpace pages, Flickr photos and almost anywhere you see a comment field. All a user has to do is create an account on Commentful and add the URLs he wants to track to his watchlist. The service also offers a Firefox extension that allows users to add items to watchlist by right clicking on them and get alerts when a new comment is posted. Commentful is a really easy to use service, that ease out following your comments. However I still would like the ability to reply to my comments right from inside Commentful other than going back to site and replying there. Such a feature will eliminate the need to go back and forth between sites while checking and replying to comments.
Blogflux has a blog directory that currently features 32,922 blogs, PageRank Checker that allows users to quickly check their Google PageRank, Pinger, Polls, Blog themes, forums and a web hoting directory. The company is online since July 2005, and is serving 25,000 unique visitors a day and counts around 75,000 registered users. They have also just launched Who’s Online, a simple tool that lets bloggers track the number of users who visited their blog in the last 5 minutes with the ability to track them geographically.
CoComment is a similar service to Commentful, but has lost much of its buzz in recent times, atleast I haven’t heard about it much anywhere in the blogosphere. Anyone knows what they are upto these days?
