BlindSpeak recently launched its text-to-speech service that lets one send their typed-in messages as a voice message. The process involves the written text going through Microsoft Sam’s (a default text-to-speech voice in Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP) text-to-speech reader, and then being converted to audio.
The messages are delivered as an MP3 file as well as a link to the Flash player. Though the text isn’t there, it’s just the audio that is received. This would come in really handy for communicating with an impaired individual.
