The one reason that friends on social networks are really not friends after all is that you don’t know much about them in the real world or if they are real at all for that matter. BeenVerified, is now trying to solve this identity crisis and scamming issue. So in essence the idea is to verify every single person on the social web and have a tag “Been Verified” displayed on his profile. This way you will get to know that the Jessica, with whom you are talking is really a Jessica and not some lammer Tom who doesn’t have a life after all.
The idea would certainly appeal to a lot of oldies who try finding a real life companion on a social network or a company looking to hire someone from the social web’s dozens of job sites.
CenterNetworks has got hold of a video conversation with the CEO of BeenVerified, Joshua Levy. Hope you may want to see it too.
