Beema, after ten years as a 3D animation studio has launched a beta platform that enables users to generate speaking 3D avatars.
The signup is a pretty tiring task with the user being asked to enter phone numbers, carrier info but once done the tide of tiredness eases out. The signup is for the beta trial and it begins once your email has been verified.
There is no originality in the concept as there are a number of sites offering similar features (Vidiator etc), so you don’t come here to have something really great to tantalize your want for new features. What makes Beema, a bit different is its easy interface, placing the much simpler 3GP video format compared to the Flash; which is the standard for most avatars. The negatives seem to exist in a great number than the positive it plans or claims to offer. As in the site doesn’t offer an easy way to embed videos (no widget). So all the uploading is manual (to YouTube – sigh).
There is a limit set to users for only utilizing the avatars from various choices (3D wizards, characters etc). The users do not have the privilege of uploading their images; a feature that the company plans to introduce along with copyrighted characters (but that comes with a cost).
With many sites offering much more, right from the word go; Beema comes with plans of bringing about changes the future. Seriously by the time their near future arrives, upcoming sites would already be having a crowd of users swarming and using what they waited for at Beema.
Speed up guys, speed up for you have already gone poof instead of a bang.
