BBC’s homepage which was earlier not returning any results on Google China, is now showing some results. Entering site:news.bbc.co.uk which was previously showing no results, is now returning more than 3.2 million results. According to Doug Edwards, former Google employee:

The limited group of [Chinese] people with whom I spoke preferred search engines that gave them the best way to find mp3s and movies online and handled Chinese names correctly, rather than those that gave the most complete information about Taiwanese efforts to remain independent.
