BBC has finally launched its iPlayer for Mac and Linux, though a bit late than expected by Richard Titus. Now Mac and Linux users can download shows through the new iPlayer for offline viewing. Windows users are already using the feature. Users in the U.K. can access programs from the last seven days through the website. Using the iPlayer desktop software, the downloaded programs can be stored on users’ computer for 30 days.
BBC urges the Mac and Linux users to download the new player by saying:
Try out the new BBC iPlayer Desktop. Downloading allows you to enjoy your favourite BBC programmes without being connected to the Internet.
You can download the iPlayer for different OS from BBC here.
