Barracuda Networks acquired BitLeap for an undisclosed amount. Barracuda provides email and Web security appliances and is known for its anti-spam ‘weaponry’, and with BitLeap under its wing, it can include computer-data backup and disaster recovery technology as an added service. Both companies though, aren’t too highly financed, and claim to be favorable to this sort of M&A deal.
