You may have come across quite a few trendy media players, but the new Banshee 1.2 (open-source software) consists of a variety of unique options to browse and enjoy. The interface is pretty simple, yet organized – having fixed a percentage of bugs in the previous version.
All-in-one options such as playing your favorite ‘mp3s’, watching ‘movies’, a ‘10-band equalizer’ to enhance sound quality. ‘Internet Radio’ lets you listen to your choice of online-radio stations.
More options include ‘Music Recommendations’, ‘DAAP (iTunes Music Sharing) Client’, ‘Search’, Playlist Importing, and an interesting device support option along with and a few others to grasp the complete attention of the user.
Although Banshee is configured to run on a number of Linux versions; it isn’t configured yet, to run on Windows and OS X. Also, the device support option does not however support iPhones or iPod touch devices. It is still in the works and yet to be okay-ed.
