Steve Ballmer has told shareholders that although the company is no longer interested in the buying all of Yahoo, they are still “very open” to a search collaboration. I personally think that the folks at Yahoo know that without Search it might be dead, so they wont allow Microsoft to fork out the Search component and hence eventually Microsoft would agree to swallow the whole of Yahoo. But till than let the dance continue.
