Automattic, the WordPress parent company has acquired Yahoo’s trackback and pinging service, Blo.gs. This is yet another one of the many acquisitions that have been made by Automattic. The acquisition would have Automattic introducing a few features to the service that Yahoo had acquired in 2005. The service boasts of being the first of its kind and currently tracked almost 8 million blogs of almost a 20 million that exist in the US alone. The financial terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed as yet.
