image thumb95 Summoning Earthquakes Loud And Clear: Boobquake On Facebook Set For The Task

Talk about crazy ideas, this one is a killer. Women rallying in on Facebook to challenge clerics when they say that shameless women are the cause of Earthquakes. Talk about being brave and committed to prove a point, I am thoroughly impressed by this group.

Despite trying my best to not talk about this act which can very well make me a part of this, I couldn’t resist myself and had to jump over to investigate it further. The Info tab had quite some interesting information on it:

image thumb92 Facebook Like Put To Better Use With LikeButton.me

There has been quite a buzz with Facebook when it comes to updates both prior and after the f8 conference. The primary one has been the Social Plugins and the Like button, which despite some confusions is being a hit across the Web. Today I came across LikeButton.me, a pretty impressive tool that helps me see what people I know like on the Web.

The tool is real time and is divided into categories from News, Videos, Blogs to games on the web. Each of those categories has all user activity placed in a box and is from the people who you are connected to in one way or the other. Its more like a summary of all Facebook related activity on the Web. Nothing really to do with ground breaking coding but a very intelligent and impressive way to bring all like activity in a nutshell.

image thumb91 Facebook Blocks Me From Searching. Is Anyone Else Experiencing This On Facebook? [#wtf, #facebook, #fail]

This is insane, seriously. First, Facebook has been acting weird for the last two days and while it has been functional it has been dead slow. Which translates simply into the fact that I haven’t been very active using the site for quite some time.

image thumb90 Startup: Audiggle Lets You Listen, Explore And Identify Music From Your Desktop [Tool]

I listen to songs almost every time I am writing these posts. But it gets a bit irritating at times when I am not able to tell the artist’s name or to put it simply; recognize what music is being played. You have music recognition services for the mobile devices like the iPhone app from Shazam but the desktops lack one such app, don’t they? Welcome Audiggle, a startup that is dedicated to providing you with a software that helps you know what music you are playing with its desktop app.

The best part is that you can use the software and avoid the trouble of searching for artist’s and music information on Google. I seriously have huge issues and most of the times give up on digging out details on music. You don’t have to close yourself up to play a track, perhaps you hear soundtrack of Brave Heart, or watching a YouTube where the background music allures your ears, Audiggle has details on any music from any source.

image thumb89 Android’s Facebook App Gets A Much Needed Update: Better Support For Messaging

While my entire Twitter feed is filled with complains and statuses on Facebook acting weird and failing. There is some news to take a break away as the Facebook app for Android got a much needed update. The app itself isn’t one that a super charged Facebook fanatic would love to have on the Android device but it does the trick.

The update however is set to bring in something useful: a much refined support for messaging. So what makes it great? Well you will finally have the ability to access all your notifications and messages in the Inbox right within the app. The app appears to be good enough as per user feedback on the Official Fan page but there are certain hiccups at present. Those include frequent crashes on the HTC Hero devices as of now.

All the brouhaha around with Facebook Updates, the f8 conference, Instant Personalization, etc. There was another feature; the transition of become a fan to likes and the Like button on each page. That’s where the trouble steps in, trouble associated to how it plans to monitor what pages have the likes and what content is being liked.

image thumb88 Another Day Another Fail: Facebook Inaccessible [#facebook, #fail] Update

Is this just me or the whole world is experiencing the same issues with Facebook? It all started last night with a countless users complaining about the social network taking a massive hit and acting weird, I was lucky as I faced no issues as such. But that was yesterday and I continue to face the same as well.

I just noticed that the Fan page badge at Startup Meme wasn’t loading and that I was unable to share content on my profile too. I might have taken it to be my connection speed but its working fine and I can browse as usual. Can anyone share what’s actually causing this issue? Feel free to give valuable, sensible or the wildest explanation.
