image thumb42 Comment on Any Website with We Say That!

We Say That! lets you comment on any website on the internet, whether it supports commenting or not. Even if it has its comments closed, you can still comment on that website using We Say That! This may sound a bit like StumbleUpon or Digg, but it’s very different than them as it’s not a social network, but just pure commenting.

Commenting using We Say That! is very simple. There’s no sign up process required. All you have to do is type in the web page URL, that you want to comment on. It’ll load up the page with it’s thumbnail image and show a comment box like the ones you see on blogs. Then you can just type in your info and comment and your done – except for that, we haven’t been able to get it to work for us. We’ve tried many times to comment on Startup Meme using We Say That! but every time we type in the URL, it says be the first one to comment, meaning our comment never gets registered with We Say That! It would be great if it worked but sadly it’s broken.

screenshot11 Confirmation of AOL split by BewkesThe CEO of Time Warner, Jeff Bewkes has announced the second quarter earnings of AOL along with the news of its split. News of the possible split were already making rounds some days ago, predicted to be announced with the news of the earnings.

We already know how hostile has Time Warner’s chief; Jeff Bewkes has been towards AOL and most probably the division is going to end up being pocketed by investors or the much interested team of Jerry Yang and Steve Ballmer. There has been a lot of delay at going ahead wit the later option but that is largely due to the financial constraints within Microsoft and Yahoo; not to forget how the two have been locking horns, slashing each other and having trouble at board meetings.

image25 Want Funds? Try 40billion.com!

40billion is a social take on investment and funding for entrepreneurs. You can put up your Startup along with your target for investment required. Investors can then help you or any other business or idea they like, and get a return for their investment.

40billion is like a blessing in disguise for investors and entrepreneurs, but at it’s very early stages, it shows 0% funds for all the businesses advertised. The idea behind 40billion is a good one, and is similar to online share trading and investing. It also lets you provide live presentations using PowerPoint presentations and conference calling. Although it would be much better if it provides VOIP and web cam options for live presentations. You can also invite your family and friends to help raise money for your business and give them opportunities for investment and returns. But if they are your friends or family, we doubt they would want to invest using a website and not through face to face meetings.

croppercapture1 thumb Click your Fortune Kookies!

Here’s a funny website. Kookies! gives you fortune cookies through the click of a button. Though, only good for a time pass, it can be entertaining. You can even create your own fortune cookies just for the heck of it ( not sure why you’d want to do that, but still ! ).

The website is easy to use, just click on the cookie and you’ll be told your fortune, although at the moment, it shows more spam and crap than fortune. And maybe it’s just us, but a lot of Kookies! visitors have a thing for Chuck Norris ( maybe he had some sort of investment in this Kookies! ). The fortunes can be ranked up or down or marked as inappropriate ( strangely the tooltip of the inappropriate button says Mark as appropriate! ). The website looks cool and seems as if it was run over by the Web 2.0 bandwagon.
