You can use the basic functionalities but if you want to avail more facilities then you have to use the paid version.

Key features of AtMail (Open Source) includes lightweight Ajax Webmail Interface, video mail, PHP source code, IMAP support, Apache 2.0 Open Source license and easy upgrade to commercial version.

They also provide a public forum to discuss the software. If you require assistance or have any queries/suggestions, you can join the forum.

For project maintenance they use Trac interface which tracks issues and bug-reports. AtMail specialises in world wide on-site training sessions which means that they provide assistance to deploy or customise AtMail. Assistance might include from configuration of AtMail under Unix/Windows platforms to technical overview of AtMail to integration of AtMail with existing software.

For staff training they will send a consultant from Australia, Netherlands or USA to your location. The cost of assistance depends on your location.

This version which was released on 26th May, 2008, supports five different languages including English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. Their next version is due by the mid of June 2008.

Previously services like this have flopped. The paid version will be specific to certain audience which might not help in getting the fame but if they provide extraordinary services, they might not join the list of failures.
