Recently, Windows Live Hotmail got a revamp on it’s interface with new added functionalities. But not everyone liked the change. And many people did report several issues about it.
At last, after so many outcries, Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail team has finally answered. The team has come out with a bulletin that they would roll out their next update, in mid-December, focusing on scrolling issues, for users preferring the reading pane. Along with that, fixing the scroll bar overlapping issues due to user screen resolution differences.
The team also mentioned that they would come out with new features such as Yahoo like, IM enabled within mail.
Coming early next year, you’ll see yet another update, which will complete the transition to the new Hotmail. We’ll be changing the banner ad at the top of the page to a vertical ad on the right-hand side, which will allow you to see more messages and more of your personal folders on the screen at once. We’ll also be adding more themes, increasing the number of messages on each page, and embedding instant messaging with Messenger right into Hotmail.
It is high time that Windows Live hotmail now focuses on quality features that would give it more value, rather than just surface touches. With it’s largest user base it could definitely have an edge on testing grounds, but it needs to work hard to stay ahead with the rising email star of today: Gmail.
